DIE KUNST DER CAMOUFLAGE​​

Das Ausstellungsthema „CAMOUFLAGE“ lädt Künstler*innen ein, die Kunst der Tarnung, der Nachahmung und der Täuschung in all ihren Facetten zu erkunden.

In der Natur begegnen wir faszinierenden Strategien der Anpassung, Mimikry und Mimese, mit denen Lebewesen ihre Umgebung imitieren, um zu überleben, sich zu schützen oder zu täuschen. Diese Phänomene eröffnen ein weites Feld für künstlerische Reflexion: zwischen Illusion und Offenbarung, Maskerade und Entblößung.

Wie konstruieren wir Wirklichkeit – und wie verbergen wir sie?
Worin täuschen wir uns, was glauben wir zu sehen, zu wissen, zu erkennen?

„CAMOUFLAGE“ lädt dazu ein, diese Fragen in künstlerischer Form zu untersuchen – mit Blick auf die Mechanismen des Sichtbaren und des Verborgenen, auf das Spiel zwischen Schein und Sein.

THE ART OF CAMOUFLAGE

The exhibition theme “CAMOUFLAGE” invites visual artists to explore the art of imitation, concealment, and deception in all its complexity.

In nature, animals and plants have developed astonishing strategies of adaptation — mimicry and mimesis — to blend in, protect themselves, or mislead. These phenomena open up a wide field for artistic reflection: between illusion and revelation, masquerade and exposure.

How do we construct reality — and how do we disguise it?
What deceives us, what do we believe we see, know, or understand?

“CAMOUFLAGE” calls on artists to engage with these questions creatively — to explore the boundaries between what is visible and what remains hidden, between appearance and being.
